The 2025-2040 Comprehensive Plan is still under review and while Mr. Mitchell, the Community Development director has shut the community out of the process seemingly moving forward, that does not mean our opinions are not valid and worth sharing with the County.
Attached here is a draft copy of the Comprehensive Plan (or as Mr. Mitchell is calling it, a “Community Plan” because citizens of Charles City County aren’t intelligent enough to know what a Comprehensive Plan is-and yes, he said that!).
You’ll also find some other information pertaining to the “legal stuff” of a comprehensive plan and land use ordinances here as well.
Below is the second draft of the Comprehensive Plan, followed by the first draft. Both will remain here so that they can be compared moving forward in this process. As more drafts are released, they will be put here with the newest being first.
